It's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is childhood cancer awareness month. Janine Cammarata shares details about Nick's Run to be Healed 5K, which is September 29th at the Clifton Commons in Clifton Park.

How can you Help?

The Capital Region Childhood Cancer Coalition would like to meet with Governor Cuomo this September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Maybe if we all wrote to him, he would be willing to listen. I sent a regular letter to his Secretary, but I also sent a message on his website. http://www.governor.ny.gov/contact/GovernorContactForm.php Help us show him that this is an issue that matters to all of us.

Local mother helps daughter's legacy to live on

Gina Peca's daughter Catie Hoch battled pediatric cancer. After Catie's death, Gina wrote a book, not about Catie's struggle with cancer, but about her ability to enjoy life through it all.

Nick's Run to be Healed 5K 2013

Nick’s Run to be Healed is honoring Parker Ragone a 3 ½ year old boy from Clifton Park who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on October 25, 2011. He was 2. Parker is doing well and loves to be around the teens from Nick’s Round Table. He loves the Hulk because he likes to SMASH! Maybe the Hulk can smash some cancer cells!
